On January 6, 2017 Barrack Obama sat down with Vox.com for one of his final interviews before leaving the White House. Their conversation was about the Affordable Care Act. Republicans have slammed Obama Care for high premiums, high deductibles, high copays, and it's complexity. Obama had an approval rating of nearly 60 percent. Donald Trump won the White House in part of saying that he would change the ACA into "something terrific". Unfortunately both houses are controlled by Republicans that are helping to carry out trumps plan.
Trumps saying he has an alternative for ACA is quite frightening. He didn't even say what he has in mind, Trump just said "something terrific". Trump is a money making business and you think he wants the people to pay less for something need. I think the economy is going to fall, people are going to get sick, and food shortages are likely to happen just so we can depend on the government. So they can have however much money they need.

Giant Mustard
A stormy night, floors a creaking, and windows a howling. A boys story unfolds, and he soon discovers his life was all a lie. The boys name was Gian Muster , he was a quiet kid, and didn't have many friends. Gian was an 17 year old kid, who lived in a neighborhood named Yellow Town with his parents, Dijon his father, and Honey his mother. Gian went to a school named French's High school. One day Gian was came home from school, and his father told him that he has to work in their mustard factory, because they're short a few staff for a couple months.
Gian didn't mind but he knew that if he became a working man he'd lose a lot of time out of his day. No one knew that Gian had a fantasy of comic drawing. His main character in his made up novel called The Yellowing- Turmeric returns. Turmeric is a 7 foot, four-armed, guardian of the galaxy. Turmeric had been destroyed by his arch nemesis Food Coloring in his last novel Colors of Destruction. Gian asked his father what will be his hours at the families factory. His father said 4-9:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. That wasn't bad Gian thought.
Gian's walk to work was acquainted by his long time friend named Colman Cold Cut Jr. The Muster Family Mustard Factory was about 25 minutes from his school. Colman lived by the factory, so Gian decided to walk with him. Gian knew Colman since 3rd grade. They met when the school bully beat up Colman, they were both pushed into the same stall. Ever since that day they've been best friends.
As weeks go, by Gian is making money to fund his habits. He bought new pencils, notebooks, and even a desk. But something Gian got from work has forever changed his genetic makeup. He contracted Mustard Mystery Mechanism. He skin has turned yellow, he's grew into a 7 foot giant, and he can absorb energy from the universe. He's turned into TURMERIC and he knows what he has to do. Save the universe from binds of Food Coloring and his sick kick GMO.

- Predict what the future has in store for Michael. Will he stay with the 14th Street Clinic? Will the Clinic change in anyway? What about his relationship status? Will he be successful with Ruby?
These articles are closely related to the book, The Street Lawyer. Homeless people are being oppressed, in both examples. They seem to be forgotten by people and the government doesn't seem to care about them. In the first document it tells how the homeless have to pay the paper for their newspaper. They're trying to reach out to the people, they want to be heard. In the paper they're able to tell their stories such as struggling with addiction. This is similar to The Street Lawyer. In the book the homeless people are also allowed to tell their stories to Megan and Michael at their services. Now in the second article it talks about an organization that builds homes for the homeless. An $11 million dollar building is now a home to former homeless people, which is a great feeling for the homeless community. They finally have a place of their own. The building has 65 furnished rooms, "Chronically Homeless" people are allowed to stay there forever. It is not just "transitional" housing. For example both Mister and the Burton's are examples of chronically homeless people that would be allowed to live there.
Some other similarities are that they're both fighting to help the same group of people, the homeless. Homeless people didn't have a voice, so they didn't get recognized. Homeless in Cleveland never had a voice until The Cleveland Chronicles began. People can now buy the newspaper for under $1.50. The homeless can be paid from the purchases of the newspaper. This organization gave the homeless money and a start at a job. Michael also gave homeless people a voice. He was their lawyer and spoke for them when they were in need. Megan also helped the homeless be recognized by counseling and group meeting so they can talk about their problems.
These articles are different from the book because they gave different types of help to the homeless. In the book, Michael didn't give them money or a home, he gave them justice. One way that Michael gave them justice by bringing a legal case against Drake & Sweeney. By winning this case Michael got a cash settlement for these homeless victims. "Housing First" article gave them a home forever, not temporary.
My Predictions For Michael

ER Blog
- How do Michael's first few days at the 14th Street Legal Clinic compare to those at Drake & Sweeney?
Michael's first few days at the 14th Street Legal Clinic wasn't as he expected it to be. His orientation lasted about 30 minutes, it took him about the same time it took him to go from the Clinic to the Samaritan House. Michael wore the worst attire in my opinion, he had jeans, navy blazer, a white shirt and tie, with old Nike tennis shoes and white socks. He also didn't shave. In the car, Mordecai told Michael the thirds of the clientele in the orientation. Michael found out that there will all types of people there including employed, families with kids, mentally disabled, veterans, and about a third of those are eligible of low-income housing receive it. At the legal clinic Michael dealt with drugs abusers. Alcoholics were more common there.
Drake and Sweeney is a big lawyer firm business. At the beginning of the story, Michael worked there before Mister came up there. All of the lawyers were making at least 500k a year. They weren't doing anything for the poor and homeless community. Michael worked in a nice, wealthy, and clean building. The Clinic was a dump. Michael worked with people who are just like him, rich and careless.
But at the same time, homeless people would be in the building trying to keep warm. The staff would call security or the police whenever there was a homeless man in there. At that time Michael didn't care for them. Now he's fighting for their rights and trying to keep them in touch with society.

At the end of chapter 16 Michael states that both he and Claire have lost. Support or refute this statement.
1.At the end of chapter 16, Michael moved out of his home and is most likely going to divorce Claire. Michael and Claire's relationship ending is not a loss. They're better off without each other. They argued a lot about his decisions about leaving the law firm and taking a pay cut, to help the homeless.
2.Michael stole a file from a big business containing information about the illegal evictions on the poor and homeless. I think this was justified. He had to expose the corrupt business. It was for a noble cause and if he didn't do it how else would they get any justice.
3. Hector Palma is the paralegal for Braedan Chance. Hector gave Michael the keys to the office and the cabinet, so he can get the files. Braedan was responsible for the evictions of the poor.
4. Michael just wants to help the poor, but the rich don't help usually help. That's what's different, people aren't used to people caring about the poor. He's labeled like that because of this.
5. Michael's life is actually becoming good. You don't have to be rich to live a good life. Michael didn't care at all for the poor. Now he's a "street lawyer". Exposing the corruption of big businesses.

Street Lawyer- Questions
- Why do you suppose Michael believes Mister wasn't going to kill the lawyer?
Mister wasn't trying to kill the lawyers. Mister was just trying to get his point across. That's why he shot up at the ceiling. It wasn't meant to kill them. If Mister came in there without the gun, no one would be really scared. They'd call security. Mister wanted them to feel guilty that they didn't give a care in the world about the homeless people. Mister asked them questions about how much they gave to the homeless community. All of them lied. Then he asked them how much money they made last year. It was literally hundreds of thousands of dollars. They lawyers made enough money to buy the homeless shelter and make it better. At the shelter, all they had were scraps, soups and breads. Mister talked in a calm and relaxed, and that's an indication that he was really going to shoot them. The lawyers kept saying that they were going to die but they weren't. That's all that they cared about. Mister ordered food from the shelter. He told police to bring it up to the room, so they can eat the soup together.
3. Rich and poor people. Rich people and poor people. The rich lawyers and Mister were in the room together. The rich are made to look like they don't care. It's kind of true. The poor are made to be helpless and forgotten. It's kind of true. The Vietnam Veterans were treated like crap when they got home. The rich are snobby, careless, and only likes be around people who have the same financial status as them.
