They're trying to reach out to the people, they want to be heard. In the paper they're able to tell their stories such as struggling with addiction. This is similar to The Street Lawyer. In the book the homeless people are also allowed to tell their stories to Megan and Michael at their services. Now in the second article it talks about an organization that builds homes for the homeless. An $11 million dollar building is now a home to former homeless people, which is a great feeling for the homeless community. They finally have a place of their own. The building has 65 furnished rooms, "Chronically Homeless" people are allowed to stay there forever.It is not just "transitional" housing. For example both Mister and the Burton's are examples of chronically homeless people that would be allowed to live there.
